Photocopies of letters from Fosdick, Meyer, Patterson, Tree, Ward, Evelyn Houston and others letters to Stevenson and letters of Stevenson to some of these women. The letters discuss friends, family, social events, politics, world affairs and Stevenson's life. There are discussions of his political campaigns, Richard Nixon, Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman, John and Robert Kennedy, the United Nations, occurrences in Africa, Germany, the Mid-East, Cuba, China, the U.S.S.R. and the threat of Communism growing in the world. The letters also contain very personal discussions showing the love and concern these women felt for Stevenson.
