Series 68 of record group 59-4 consists of a map of the states of Michigan and Wisconsin, embracing a great part of Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota, and the whole mineral region, with charts of the lakes, exhibiting the sections, the soundings, the geological formations, and the general topography, originally collected by the Michigan Lands Division. The map is 47 1/2" x V 67" in size with a scale of 7 1/2" to 1 in. Includes insets: map of Beaver Isles from actual surveys; a geological map of Isle Royale, Lake Superior; connection of the private claims with the public surveys at Ptc. Ste. Ignace; chart of Port Colier; chart of Detroit River; connection of private claim with the public surveys at Green Bay; connection of private claims with the public surveys at Monroe; connection of the private claims with the public surveys at Detroit; map of the northwest angle of Michigan on the scale of the general map; public surveys on Isle Bois Blanc; connection of the private claims with the public surveys adjoining St. Clair Lake; map and profile of the canal at Sault Ste.
