The Petroleum Institute was an annual educational seminar, consisting of three courses, held at the University of Houston from 1958 until 1994. There are 35 folders in the collection, which include brochures, evaluation results, a few photographs, correspondence, and program booklets that describe the course activities. Three years (1967-1969) are missing. The folders are arranged chronologically by year. There are also some related publications dealing with the oil industry, which are filed at the end of the collection.
