Hamilton Wright Mabie letters and manuscript, 1893-1898.

The collection consists of two handwritten letters to E.C. Stedman and a handwritten essay on Stedman's contributions to poetry. Letters include: 21 Feb. 1893, inviting Stedman to an Aldrich Club dinner, with news of his activities; 15 June 1898, thanking Stedman for a photograph, encouraging him to recover fully from an illness, with news of Wright's plans for the summer. Also, undated essay, entitled The flame on the altar, Stedman's service to poetry.
