The Missionary 1938-1960

This series comprises a complete publishing run, January 1938-December 1960, the time period when the NLCA/ELC published The Missionary. Issues are bound by volume and each box contains three bound volumes, the exception being box 8 which contains only two. Most volumes include ten issues per year. There is slight variation to this in the early years. From 1938-1940, there are ten issues published each year, but there are 12 issue numbers with June/July and August/September receiving two issue numbers. For 1940 there is no August issue and October and November are both numbered issue 9. From 1941-1944, 1946-1960 there are no issues published for July or August and issues are numbered 1-10. There was a slight variation in 1945 with the publication of a June/July issue. The bound volumes and the issues themselves are in excellent condition. Items are arranged chronologically. The 1961-1969 issues for The Missionary are located in the TALC collection.
