Labor union records, research reports, correspondence, log books and speech materials covering the period from the time O'Hara became an officer in the Council Bluffs Central Labor Union Lodge No. 93 until his retirement from the AFL-CIO in 1973. Included are materials relating to union organizing efforts throughout Iowa, general union organizing techniques and campaigns, international union activities, and legislative concerns of labor unions. Also included are reports from Group Research, Inc. relating to the political influences of right-wing individuals and organizations and log book entries and speech materials written by George O'Hara.
