Miscellaneous Adams family papers written by several generations of the family, 1652-1961. Includes letters written by John Adams, Abigail Adams, Thomas Boylston Adams, John Quincy Adams, and Louisa Catherine Adams; a typescript copy of a letter written by John Quincy Adams to his son Charles Francis Adams, Oct. 27, 1833; receipts kept by Charles Francis Adams, 1856-57; and an account book kept by John Quincy Adams (son of Charles Francis), 1876. Also includes typescript copies of correspondence between Henry and Brooks Adams, 1893-1906, research notebooks kept by Brooks Adams, 1898, and a European travel diary kept by Charles T. Morse (grandfather of Thomas Boylston Adams) while in London and Italy, 1914, describing his voyage at sea, daily weather, and visits to art galleries.
