Collection was gifted to WRCA in 2009 by Erwin Cooper, former information officer for the California Department of Water Resources and author of several books on California water development, including "Aqueduct Empire: A Guide to Water in California, its Turbulent History and its Management Today" (1968), "Understanding California Water" (1997-2004), and "California Water: Challenges and Crises" (2008). The collection consists of materials collected during Mr Cooper's 40 years of research and authorship; it contains press releases, speeches, clippings, reports and miscellaneous memoranda on California water resources development in the period 1965-2009.
