Reports, Correspondence, Subject Files 1921-1926.

This series contains records related to work in the Synod of Catharina, Parana and Other States in Brazil, where the JSO Home Mission Board was involved. Records comprise handwritten and typewritten reports, correspondence, and subject files related to work in Brazil from 1921-1926. Almost the entire series is written in German. The majority of the records are correspondence between mission pastors in Brazil and the Rev. E.F.W. Stellhorn, Executive Officer of the JSO Board of Home Missions. In addition to the correspondence, other records in this series include reports regarding the synod's first 25 years of work in Brazil, a statistical report from 1925, and a report submitted by Rev. Peterson that described the synod's new work in Brazil. Additional records comprise a publication of the Synod of Catharina, Parana, and Other States; material pertaining to the Middle Synod of Brazil; and two undated, sepia-toned photographs, one of which includes Pastor Peterson and Pastor Werde. Records are arranged by subject.
