Part of a group of negatives taken for December 22, 1963, Arkansas Gazette article "It's No Holiday for Your Mailman!," E5:2. The mail terminal in Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas, is very busy during the holiday season. Packages and mail bags from trains are dropped onto belts where they are sorted (2222-4), packages are then thrown (2222-5) during sorting to appropriate carts which some times calls for workers like, L. C. Johnson to repair the damaged Christmas packages (2222-1).
