Arizona State University artifact collection, 1892-

Consists of artifacts and souvenirs from 1892 to the present, including pins, buttons, ribbons, medals, emblems, decals, clothing, pennants, plaques and trophies. The items relate to a wide array of university activities including sports, student organizations and campus events. A large collection of souvenirs is associated with the Arizona State Sun Devils 1987 Rose Bowl appearance. Of particular interest are the Rolling Stones tour jacket given to ASU President J. Russell Nelson, china and flatware used in the original Tempe Normal School Dining Hall, the silver trophy from the 1899 Tempe Normal School University of Arizona football game, Frederick Irish's sabre and cadet sword, and a model constructed by Alfred Thomas, Jr. of the original Territorial Normal School building.
