Part of a group of copy negatives taken for July 5, 1964, Arkansas Gazette article "Old Shipping Papers Found at Post," D5:2. These old shipping papers from steamboats relating to the Arkansas Post were found in an attic of an abandoned house in Arkansas County, Arkansas. Papers include Bills of Lading for shipments made by G.A. Fogee and Mrs. Mary Fogee of Arkansas Post, Arkansas County, Arkansas or made to him by firms with which he did business in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. Steamboats associated with the papers include the "Fort Gibson" at Arkansas Post, Arkansas, November 1871.
