This record group consists of photographs which were transferred to the State Archives of Michigan by the Michigan Historical Museum staff on Feb. 3, 2000. The photographs document the Hartwick family (1885-1950), lumbering in Crawford and surrounding counties (1885-1915), and Hartwick Pines State Park (1927-1941). Includes photographs of Rasmus Hanson and Margarethe Hanson, his wife. A small percentage of this collection includes records and print material; newspaper clippings (1918-1941) and a copy of the 1927 deed describing the land given by Karen Hartwick to the state of Michigan.
