Account book of an unidentified compiler. The first page is headed: Account of cost for labor, yarn spun, and cloth made, commencing Aug. 2, 1853. The Uncas Mill [Uncas Finishing Co., Norwich, Conn.?] and Naumkeag Mill [Naumkeag Steam Cotton Co., Salem, Mass.?] are both listed in the volume, which gives costs for carding, spinning, dressing, weaving, etc., with amounts of fabric spun, spooled, warped, and dressed per week. The accounts end on Sept. 26, 1856.
