General description of the collection: The Frank W. Milburn photograph collection consists of photographs on WWII in France and Germany. All of these photos were taken by the United States (U.S.) Army Signal Corps. There are several specific Army divisions identified: 28th Infantry Division; 42nd Infantry Division; 63rd Infantry Division; 70th Infantry Division; 12th Armored Division; and the XXI Corps. Other subjects include the Siegfried Line, atrocities, Russian occupation of Leipzig, the surrender of Heidelburg, various German officers surrendering their units, and numerous towns and cities in Fance and Germany.
