Contains primarily business correspondence and invoices sent to the East Bethel Mill and the Turner Mills from D.F. Faulkner in Boston. Correspondence from Joshua Wedgewood, who assisted with operations at East Bethel, is also found throughout the collection. Includes incoming and outgoing executive correspondence, 1852-1879; records of taxes paid to the town of Turner, 1875-1877; financial records, including cashbooks, 1850-1860; bills and receipts, 1848-1879; sales invoices, 1863-1864, 1866, sent to the Turner mill by D.F. Faulkner; invoices, 1861, to the Bethel Mill; and sales invoices, 1854-1876. Also contains personal papers of various Faulkner family members, including correspondence to Francis F. Faulkner, 1855-1899, from his mother, brother Dwight, and daughter Anna. Also includes Masonic records of Francis Faulkner, three unidentified photographs, and poetry from an unidentified author.

Dwight Foster (D.F.) Faulkner was born in 1803 in Watertown, MA. He was a dry goods merchant in Boston and also owned three woolen (flannel) mills, one in East Bethel, VT; one in Plymouth, MA; and one in Turner, ME. He turned operations of these mills over to his sons, Dwight Faulkner (1829-1894) and Francis T. Faulkner (1834-1905) but retained control and management from Boston.
