Publications 1910-1912, 1915, 1919.

This series comprises examples of pamphlets, leaflets, and booklets created by the Woman's Missionary Conference (WMC) of the United Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the South (USS). The records are printed material and include undated items as well as items from 1910-1912, 1915, 1919. The bulk of material was generated either solely by the WMC, in conjunction with the General Council's Women's Missionary Society, or as a member of the Cooperative Literature Committee that comprised members from the USS, the General Council (GC) and General Synod (GS) women's missionary organizations. There are also a small number of pamphlets created by the Young People's Missionary Federation of the South Carolina Synod. These records are examples of different types of missionary education material the WMC published for use by its local societies, and sold to other church's women's missionary societies. There are pamphlets pertaining to home missions, inner missions, mission work in Japan, Bible readings, monthly missionary education programs, poems, Thankoffering services, programs for children and juniors, and stories and recollections written by USS missionaries. Many of the pamphlets were written by Mrs. Katharine Scherer Cronk. In addition to this material, there is a copy of the proceedings from the 7th WMC biennial convention held in 1919. This is of particular interest because it was the last convention of the WMC before it merged with the societies from the GC and GS to form the Women's Missionary Society of the United Lutheran Church in America. Duplicates were removed.
