Duff Green papers, 1865-1872.

Collection includes a prospectus (1865), a letter (1872), and a deposition (11 Dec. 1865). The prospectus is for a newspaper, THE DAILY LABORER, which Green planned to start publishing in Baltimore in 1868. Green's letter to a grandson discusses his failure to launch the newspaper, and gives his plans for national and state banking systems, a national currency, and the establishment of a school fund intended to supply education to all, including African-Americans. The deposition concerns a property Green managed for a Mrs. Crump in Vicksburg, Miss.
