Sixth-plate daguerreotype in leather case of Cornelius Marchant Vinson (1817-1893), teacher in Jamaica Plain, Mass. The photograph was taken by John Adams Whipple of Boston, Mass., probably at the time of Vinson's marriage to Anne Bell Bedlam in 1849.
