Julius Eichberg letter to the New York Atlas, 1863 May 4.

The collection consists of a hand-written letter to the editor of the N.Y. Atlas, 4 May 1863. Referring to a recent article, Eichberg defends the originality of his Doctor of Alacantra and Rose of Tyrol, indicating that he had no hand in writing the libretto but that he wrote the music himself, and is not derivative of any other composer.
