Stephen H. Long : [collection] : 1852-1861.

Collection consists of two letters written to Stephen H. Long. One is dated October 15, 1852, written by in Louisville, Kentucky, in which he thanks Long for loaning a book to him that he in now returning. The second letter, dated December 14, 1861, written by a T.J. Gram, in which he congratulates Long on becoming head of the Army Corps.

David Ives Bushnell was born 28 April 1875 in St. Louis, Mo. He was educated in St. Louis schools and in Europe. He worked as an assistant archaeologist at the Peabody Museum, Harvard University from 1901-1904.
