District Lodge 96 (Savannah, Ga.) records, 1940-1984 [bulk 1956-1979].

The collection consists of company and office files. Included in both types of files are information on organizing union/NLRB elections, grievances, arbitration, negotiations, correspondance (between the district lodge, the companies and the IAMAW headquarters), and agreements. The office files also include some research information on the Savannah shipyards where some of the members worked. There are also several booklets at the end of the collection that cover agreements, safety, and pension plans. There are four photographs in the collection. In total, there are 86 company files in the collection.
