Oliver Moulton (1829-1907) was born in Dover, N.H. After the death of his father, the family moved to Saco, Me., and Moulton began his career in the textile industry at the Pepperell Manufacturing Co., Biddeford, Me. He moved to Lawrence, Mass., to be the overseer of the Pemberton Mills, 1854-1859, and then became superintendent of the Amoskeag mills in Manchester, N.H., 1859-1864.
