Letters, chiefly relating to the Dade family, 1845-1858.

The collection contains two letters, 1856 and 1858, Henry Dade, Charlottesville, Va., to his father, A.G. Dade, regarding work as a storekeeper, illness in the city, fears he may have consumption, and other personal matters. There are also two letters, 1858 and n.d., A.W. Bramham to her father, A.G. Dade, Westmoreland County, Va., about family news, Bishop Meade's book, Professor Holcombe at the University of Virginia, local political sentiment, the next Congressional election, and an unjust accusation against her husband, a clergyman. There is also a letter, 1845, A.P. Ralls, Charlottesville, Va., to a nephew about family news and hopes for a teaching position.
