Negative taken for February 21, 1963, Arkansas Gazette article "Bulcroft, Abahazy Have to Work Fast at Oaklawn Park," B1:2. Tibor Abahazy is a photographer at Oaklawn Jockey Club in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas. His photographs of the horses as they cross the finish help to determine the winner in close races. He also makes photographs of the winning horse and jockey after each race as they enter the winner's circle. Abahazy is a native of Budapest, Hungary. He escaped from the Soviet Army's occupation of his homeland in 1944, and immigrated to the United States in 1951.
