At the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, 150 students are receiving vocational training and therapy. Disabled students study various professions, including office work and mechanical work, such watch making and repair. Howard Baker of Combs, Madison County, Arkansas, is learning to become a watch maker and a repairer. Baker has a heart condition that keeps him from strenuous activity. He is receiving a repair tip from Robert Farmer (right), an instructor at the Center. The Rehabilitation Center is in the old Army-Navy Hospital, which was given to the state of Arkansas by the United States Government.
