The papers consist of photographs of portraits of Cooper and his wife, a photograph of his daughters, a document, 1861, adopting Cooper as a member of the Chickasaw tribe; a document, 1866, stating the settlement of Cooper's accounts with the Choctaw Indian tribe; and a letter, 1870, from Cooper to the President of the Senate and The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the General Council of the Choctaw Nation concerning a fraudulent address purported to be by Peter Pitchlynn.
