Letter is from the Worcester Shop of the Holyoke Machine Co. and concerns a test of a 51 inch "Hercules" turbine tested by the Holyoke Water Power Co. for one of the mills on their canals. Also contains a blueprint entitled: Testing Flume of the Holyoke Water Power Company, Holyoke, Mass. ... made April 28th 1890.

Holman was the treasurer of the Holyoke Machine Co. The company was founded in 1863 to make castings and shaftings and to provide general mill work and machining services as well as water-wheels, gearing, turbines, etc. The Holyoke Water-Power Co. was incorporated in 1859 to provide water-power to mills and shops.
