[Letters]. [1844-1846?]

Four letters, one dated 1844(?), the others 1846(?), from Tuttle, writing from Lowell, Mass., to her brother James L. Tuttle in Boston. The letters concern family life and also mention her boarding house and her work in the mills. She specifically mentions the Tremont and Suffolk Mills, cotton mills located in Lowell. The collection also contains a letter from an unidentified female mill worker, written from Manchester [N.H.?] and dated Oct. 8, 1845(?). It begins, Dear sister Sarah, and is addressed to Sarah H. Hibbard, Cherokee, Cherokee Na[tion?], Arkansas. The letter mentions tending four looms and tells of boarding with a private family.
