Bruce Trinkley received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in musical composition from Columbia University (1966, 1970), where he directed the Glee Club. He came to Penn State in 1970 as an assistant professor in the Department of Music, and became an associate professor in 1976 and a full professor of music in the late 1990s.
