Oral history interview with Sonia Jassen, Nov. 17, 1969.

Jassen describes her family's migration to Jaffa, Palestine, from Sebastopol, Russia, and the conditions in Palestine at that time. She talks about an early salt mine operation, Palestine Salt Company, established by a Mr. Surdin. She also briefly describes her immigration to the United States and her family's business in Seattle.
