Series 28-31 and 33 of record group RG 62-24 consists of audio-visual materials of the 1961-1962 Michigan Constitutional Convention. Includes: magnetic tape sound recordings of the general sessions (Oct. 3, 1961-Aug. 1, 1962); magnetic tape sound recordings of committee meetings and hearings; magnetic tape sound recordings of "Con con reports", being 49 interviews with delegates and officers, William Sorrells, interviewer; motion picture "Michigan can lead the way" created by Wayne State University and Michigan State University; and photographs showing delegates, officers, and employees.

Sorrells, William

William Holman Sorrells (April 1890-September 1969) attended the University of Georgia from 1912 until his graduation in 1916 with a degree in Agriculture. During his time at UGA, Sorrells managed to support himself through odd jobs while at the same time participating in numerous student activities. He was a skilled debater who won numerous awards for his efforts and served as president of Demonsthenian (one of UGA's literary societies) in 1916.
