Mentioning that their collaborative work "The Passion of Dr. Ludovicus" is prepared for submission to the publisher Routledge. Mentioning that Dowson intends to visit Sayle at Cambridge, but noting that he may be delayed in this trip by the arrival of Swanton. Enclosing (not present) a letter from Plarr which contains an amusing anecdote. Noting that Dowson is to meet with Herbert Williams to "talk things over," stating "if I can work it without too much loss of time to the Dock, I shall take the unremunerative subeditorship of his most comprehensive journal [The Critic] for as long as he will have me."
