George Fenwick Jones memoirs and research materials, 1733-2001.

This collection contains two memoirs and research materials from George Fenwick Jones from 1733 to 2001. The memoirs are entitled, Savannah Then and The Wander Years in which Jones recounts his childhood and adolescence. Also included are thirteen reels of microfilm, maps of Savannah, Georgia, and photocopies of correspondence between Johann Martin Boltzius and James Oglethorpe used in Jones' research on the colonial history of Georgia and the migration of Salzburgers and other Germans to coastal Georgia. Some of these research materials are in German.
