Correspondence with Julian Symons and Jack Clark, 1937-1992.

Chiefly correspondence between Roy Fuller and Julian Symons. Includes occasional addendums from Kate Fuller to Roy Fuller's letters. Also present are letters from John Fuller to the Symons'; letters and post cards from Roy Fuller to Jack Clark, many regarding the Poem-of-the-Month Club; and Roy Fuller to Sebastian Barker. Most of the letters from John Fuller and one from Kate Fuller were written after Roy Fuller's death. Some poems, obituaries, newspaper clippings, and pamphlets pertaining to Roy Fuller's life and/or subjects exchanged between Fuller and Clark.

Roy (Broadbent) Fuller (1912-1991), the poet, was born in Failsworth, Lancashire, educated at Blackpool High School, and later qualified as a solicitor. He joined the Woolwich Equitable Building Society in 1938 and became one of its directors in 1969.
