This scrapbook, compiled by Henry G. Byrant, primarily documents Bryant's involvement in the Eighth International Geographic Congress and the Geographical Society of Philadelphia. This scrapbook, compiled by Henry Bryant, primarily contains newspaper and magazine clippings, programs, personal letters, and invitations pertaining to the Eighth International Geographic Congress, held in 1904, and the Geographical Society of Philadelphia. Included are newspaper clippings from The Sunday Times and The Daily Mail discussing exploration, particularly of the Arctic and the Antarctic. Clippings focusing on Tibet, Africa, New Guinea, and other regions are also found in the scrapbooks.
