Britton papers include general officer's papers containing official papers centering around training of the 10th Armored Division at Fort Benning and Camp Gordon, 1943-1944; clippings on the units' service while in Europe; papers on his service at various headquarters and his service in the Pacific; a letter on organization of military government units (1948); a 1949 thesis, "RECOILLESS WEAPONS AND THEIR EFFECT ON TACTICS"; and pre-World War II (WWII) items consisting of miscellaneous orders issued at Fort Bliss and a research paper, "CAVALRY RECONNAISSANCE" (1936).
