Railroad photographs taken from 1952 to the early 1980's. Frank Clodfelter, a student at Asheville-Biltmore College (1931-1932), became an engineer for Southern Railway System. His interest in railroads and in trains resulted in multiple publications on trains and many of the photographs included in this collection. The original donation included 230 kodachrome slides and 102 black and white negatives.
