Abstract

Unpublished diary of Dr. F.B. Shufort, assistant surgeon of the Confederacy serving at Chimborazo Hill Hospital, Richmond, Va. Shufort recounts numerous case histories, his duties on the battlefields around Richmond and his personal experiences and insights. The diary covers the period Nov. 24, 1861 through Aug. 23, 1865. Endpaper notes include list of battles.
