General description of the collection: The Samuel Willison papers include copies of four letters written by Willison on November 26, 1862, February 17 and April 12, 1863, and December 30, 1864. The first three are from his regiment in the field and the last is from a hospital. Especially vivid is his account of the departure of Orlando Poe from the IX (9th) Corps in Kentucky.
