Series 3 of record group RG 80-33 consists of maps (ca. 1865-1975) and an index to maps in possession of the Geological Division in 1955. The maps are comprised of some glacial maps, which are pieces of a state map cut up by counties and show the moranic features of each county in Michigan; lithologic maps, which are rough drawings by the surveying geologists; and a relief map of the entire state, with colored pencilling showing the different elevations of the state. Also in the record group is the Atlas of surficial maps, which is a collection of glacial county maps of Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Crawford, Grand Traverse, Muskegon, Oceana, Ottawa, and Roscommon counties.
