Bulk of the collection consists of term papers on folklore from students in Dr. Anderson's English 329 class at Texas A & M, some of which he later gathered into a book titled Texas Lore: A Collection of Student Papers on Texas Folklore. Also fieldnotes on folklore, clippings, research materials, and memorabilia. Some correspondence with folklore enthusiasts and miscellaneous publications on folklore. A few items about and from the Billy Arlington Company are included; most are oversized materials including 23 photographs and 4 playbills from Billy Arlington and Co. kept in map cases.
