Prescription and diet book, form 1948, for Feb. to Dec. 1887 from an unidentified hospital. The number of patients listed as in the hospital for June 30th, 1887, corresponds with the number reported in the 1888 Marine Hospital Service annual report to be in the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. The book gives the patients' names, the wards to which they are assigned (St. Joseph, St. Claude, St. Augustine, Women's and Colored) and the prescriptions and diet ordered for each patient on a daily basis.
