WASP winter parka.

ArchivalResource

WASP winter parka.

Santiago Blue winter parka with lining purchased and worn by Lemley after the WASP were deactivated in December 1944. The jacket was not worn while she was serving in the WASP, but discovered "on sale" at Bolling Field, Washington, D. C. in a large building. She remembers purchasing the parka for a skiing trip to Vermont around March 1945 and was so surprised to discover "hundreds and hundreds of racks . . . held our Santiago Blue."
