A collection of material related to a hearing held jointly by the New York State Senate's Standing Committee on Labor and Industry and the Assembly's Committee on Labor and Industry. The hearing was held on February 26, 1957 to gauge public opinion on the Hughes-Ashbery Bill on Unemployment Insurance (S. Int. 1763; A. Int. 2121). No transcript of this hearing has been found. Currently, this collection consists of the statement of the Commerce and Industry Association of New York, Inc., delivered by Marlon Z. Eubank. Statements by the Empire State Chamber of Commerce and Joseph R. Shaw, president of the Associated Industries of New York State, Inc., are cataloged separately.

The 332nd Infantry Regiment was part of the 83rd Division, which was deployed overseas in June 1918. After training in France the regiment was detached for service as army and corps troops, and on July 25 it moved, with the 331st Field Hospital, to Villafranca, Custoza, and Sommacompagna, Italy. In October the regiment participated in the Vittorio-Veneto Operation (Italy).
