Mary Agnew letters, 1847-1848.

Mary Agnew writes three letters to Edith [Phillips] 17 October 1847, describing her current activities and their friendship; 21 June 1848 describing a visit with the Read family [incomplete]; and 10-15 August 1848 of her feelings and of a visit to the Read family [incomplete]. Mary Agnew writes to My dear friend [addressed to Rebecca W. Taylor] Sunday morning, describing a letter she received, presumably from Bayard Taylor, her fiancee and Rebecca Taylor's son. His letter includes references to Horace Greeley and Nathaniel Willis, and suggests he will arrive in Philadelphia from New York in two months.
