Courtney Ryley Cooper : [collection] : 1940.

Collection consists of a single letter written by Cooper on September 11, 1940, thanking a Mrs. Hamblin for an article that was written in the Idaho Springs Gazette. A former reporter for the Denver Post, Cooper committed suicide less than a month after this letter was written. Newspaper reports indicated that Cooper had grown despondent after the FBI had shown little interest in information he had obtained in Mexico relating to German espionage and fifth column activities in Mexico on the eve of World War II.
