Frank Lee Benns was professor of history at Indiana University from 1920-1945; his papers are in the Indiana University Archives. Kate Lee was the only child of the Benns's. She was schooled in Bloomington, graduated from Indiana University in the late 1930s, and married Keith Bates Robinson, a newspaper publisher in Rensselaer, Indiana.
