This material consists of photocopied material and genealogical information for members of the Orphan Brigade and other Confederate soldiers with Kentucky connections. He has a basic form for each person with their name, rank, company, regiment, county of origin, birth and death dates and cemetery where they are buried. The file also includes photocopies of any written articles on the person, genealogical tables and copies of photographs of the person. Not all files have all of this information.

The First Kentucky Brigade was part of the Confederate Army. it became known as the Orphan Brigade after Union troops captured Fort Donelson (1862), leaving the brigade cut off from it's home state for the duration of the war.
