A personal account of Marine LTC Curtis Beecher's experiences in World War II during the taking of Corregidor by the Japanese and his subsequent confinement as a prisoner of war in the Philippines, Japan and Korea. During his imprisonment at Cabanatuan, Philippines, LTC Beecher was the second highest ranking American officer and was instrumental in the improvement of sanitary conditions in the prison camp.
